I have been dealing with sash windows for over twenty years.  I provide a comprehensive range of services from small repairs to full renovations  so if your looking to have a window that is painted shut, brought back into action or a cord replaced or a piece of broken glass replaced or a whole new window please do get in touch.


I aim to be transparent with my pricing and this can be seen on this site for all to see.

These prices are only a guide to the cost of sash window works carried out. For a free no obligation quotation please give me a call as every job is different.

Draft proofing

Replace the staff beads and parting beads complete with brush pile excluder fitted.

Install brush pile excluder to meeting rail and in top rail of top sash.


Estimated cost £230.00 to £390.00

Replacement cords

Lower sash      £150.00 to £250.00

Upper sash      £250.00 to £350.00


Have the upper and the lower sash cords replaced at the same time  £275.00 to £375.00

Refurbishment and draft proofing

Sashes are removed and decorated , the box frame is decorated whilst the sashes are removed.

Draft proofing is carried out as listed above.

The sashes are balanced.

New cords and furniture are fitted complete with pulley wheels, lifts, vent restrictors and brighton fastner.


Estimated cost £590.00 to £930.00 per window


Joinery repairs are an additional cost

Sill replacements

Replacement sash window sill depends on softwood or hardwood and size of sill.


Estimated cost £140.00 to £240.00


Splice repair to existing sill.


Estimated cost £100.00 to £140.00

Replacement sash

Generally only carried out when a sash is beyond repair, please remember there are two sliding sashes in a single sash window.


Estimated cost per sash from £265.00

 

Window furniture/security

Fit new brighton fastner and sash lifts 


From £32.00 per window


Fit new vent/restrictors 


From  £32.00 per window


These prices are based upon a minimum of three windows.
